Press Play ► Ori (lit. head in Yoruba) is our biggest divinity; our inner consciousness, the “higher you”. Yorubas go as far as calling the Ori an Orisha (deity) on its own, and it is. There is a song they sing in Yoruba when serving Ori and it is (very loosely) translated as “Only your Ori (head) can make you have a long life, no King can decide if you shall live long or not, it is only your Ori that has holds authority over you.”
